Large multipart vehicle.
Originally designed as a guard vehicle for convoys in North Africa, the Saurer P28 Armored Truck was then adopted into military service and adapted to fit various roles. It is commonly seen in use as a light armored personnel carrier, an artillery tractor, a fast attack cavalry vehicle, and sometimes just as a supply truck. The rugged adaptibility of P28 and its success in its original role caused the former French Imperial government to order massive numbers of them, making it a standard sight on the battlefields of the Great War.
