Hidden in the high reaches of the Aput Mountains, it would appear at first that the Puk Taluak are less warlike than their lowland counterparts. Rarely do the Altameen stray from their fortresses. The mountain peaks they call home are remote and well-fortified, their strongholds spread across treacherous stretches of avalanche-prone inclines and barren valleys. But it is not a lack of bloodlust that motivates the Altameen. They are uniquely adapted to a climate so severe, it’s a wonder they are able to survive at all let alone thrive—and they use their mastery of the unforgiving terrain to their advantage. Their hide armor is thick, their great axes broad and crystal glaives sharp; and while the Altameen have yet to make a significant push into another tribe’s territory, their siege weaponry is rivaled by no other such technology on the planet.
